Access routes

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure in the heart of La Guajira.

First, you can fly to Riohacha, the capital of the region. From there, take a 4×4 vehicle (the best option for desert roads) to Uribia.

 

In Uribia, you’ll find more 4×4 vehicles that will take you directly to Cabo de la Vela, where the ranchería is located, heading toward the famous lighthouse. Along the way, you’ll enjoy unique landscapes and the rich Wayuu culture you’re going to love it.

How to get there

Getting to Cabo de la Vela is easy. Along the main settlement, you’ll find Ranchería Utta on the only road leading to the lighthouse, just past Jareena Lodge.
